day 1 - Gubbio and Perugia (280 Km)
Departure from the chosen location for Bologna. Here meeting with the tour and the beginning of the journey by bus Gran Turismo. You get to Gubbio and guided tour of this beautiful medieval city, preserved during centuries and rich of monuments testifying its glorious past. The Duomo, art treasure that contains works of the sixteenth century, the scenic Piazza Grande that houses among others, the city's symbol, the Palazzo dei Consoli, Gothic (external); the Ducal Palace and the House of St. Ubaldo (external), ancient tower house where dwelt the patron saint of Gubbio. Free lunch during the day. Arrival at the hotel in Perugia for dinner.
day 2 - Spello, Narni and Todi (220 Km)
The day begins with the visit of Spello with the tour. Situated on a spur of Mount Subasio, surrounded by walls, it includes several Roman ruins as the remains of the theater, the amphitheater and the baths. Climbing you reach the church of Santa Maria Maggiore, with the splendid Baglioni Chapel painted by Pinturicchio with images of the Annunciation, the Nativity and the Dispute at the Temple, and by Perugino on pillars access to the presbytery. Departure for Narni, hiding in the underground roots of its history, with Roman and medieval hydraulic systems and underground churches. Free lunch. In the afternoon guided tour of Todi with the Church of Reconciliation, the gardens Oberdan, the monument to Fra 'Jacopone and the Temple of S. Fortunato. Return to Perugia for dinner.
day 3 - Assisi and Perugia
Visit with guide of Assisi, an important center of Christian spirituality, with the Basilica of St. Clare, whose terrace offers a splendid view of the Umbrian Valley. Departure for Orvieto and visit one of the oldest cities of Italy which owes its origins to the Etruscan civilization whose first settlements were found inside the tufaceous caves in the bedrock upon which today rises the Umbrian town . The visit ends with the magnificent Duomo (Sunday visited only individually ) , built to place the sacred relic of the miracle of Bolsena . The exterior rich in mosaics made up of millions of pieces contrasts with the simplicity of the Interior . After lunch , return to the hotel with a short stop in Cortona , in Tuscany , to stroll through picturesque medieval streets .
