Program details

Your day begins early in the morning with a tour of Pisa, where you will have time to admire the stunning “Piazza dei Miracoli” with its most important monuments: the Cathedral, a masterpiece of Pisan Romanesque architecture, the Baptistery, the largest in Italy, and, of course, the world famous Leaning Tower. It took 176 years to complete it and began to lean shortly after construction.
In the afternoon, you will discover one of the most famous medieval hilltop villages in Italy, San Gimignano, where you are free to explore the maze of cobbled streets, the small squares and many local artisan shops.
The tour continues with a panoramic view of the true Chianti countryside, before arriving in Siena.
Stroll the streets lined with medieval and Renaissance palaces to the Piazza del Campo, where the famous Palio horse race is held twice a year, and visit the outstanding cathedral, a masterpiece of Italian Romanesque-Gothic architecture, built in black and white marble and boasting works by Donatello, Pinturicchio, Michelangelo and others. Do not forget to taste the local typical panforte (fruitcake), perhaps in the long tradition pastry shop of the famous singer Gianna Nannini’s family. Return to Florence in a beautiful Tuscan sunset, a perfect end of a memorable day in Tuscany.
