Italy for everybody!

Italy is a receptive destination, but unluckily you will be pretty unsuccessful in finding general information for the disabled travelers on the web and sometimes also on site.
However the italian railways, the stations and all aiports are quite well equipped to help people with disability. Many hotels are equipped with disable rooms and most are accessible for those who can't move from their wheelchair. Most of the passenger ships operating in Italy have  equipped cabins but unluckily never enough if the  group is big.

There are of course difficult destinations such as the city of Venice, which is notoriously inaccessible. However the absence of all architectural, cultural and sensory barriers, is the essential requirement to allow everyone to enjoy Italian heritage, and in this contest italians are struggling to be able to welcome all travellers. You can feel so by thinking that also Venice now offers at least three itineraries for the disabled.
