During the nineteenth century, Agropoli began to expand outside the medieval walls, but the old town has remained intact, together with most of the surrounding defensive walls and the seventh-century entrance gate.
The Angevin-Aragonese castle, which was built on 6th cent. Byzantine foundations, still stands on top of the promontory.
To the west of the modern tourist harbour, there is another small promontory, on which the coastal tower of S.Francesco (16th cent.) stands next to the much altered remains of the convent of the same name.

The package provides (second day), during the morning, in a natural scenery of incomparable beauty, a guided visit of Paestum ruins with adjoining Archeological Museum.
The archaeological zone is immersed in one of the most picturesque and natural area of Paestum.
 You will visit the area with the sacred temples of Poseidon and the so-called Basilica, the Forum, the Roman amphitheater, the old residential area, the temple of Ceres, etc..
In the Archaeological Museum in addition to the many discoveries of the Greek, Roman and Luke periods, you can admire the famous diver's tomb, one of the rarest examples of frescoes in the greek period across the Magna Greece.
At the end of the visit you can relax in the cool of one of the many booths, sipping an iced or enjoying an homemade ice cream.
