Description
Modena province is the Italian heart of luxury sports cars being home to Ferrari, Maserati and Pagani. The area is also famous for gastronomic delights and art treasures such as the Romanesque cathedral declared UNESCO World Heritage site.
Experience the Italian motor land by driving a Ferrari, visiting the official Ferrari museum in Maranello and the museum in Modena about the life of the founder of the brand. Stop at a local producer of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar and taste culinary delights, head to Modena and take a stroll in the historic center. A motor lovers' self-drive itinerary mixed in with some very good food and art.
Program
Day 1
Suggested a stroll in the historic center of Modena, a UNESCO site thanks to its astonishing Romanesque cathedral. Admittance to Enzo Ferrari museum, built on the site of Enzo Ferrari’s birthplace making use of the former 19th century house and workshop of Enzo Ferrari’s father. You will then visit a traditional acetaia where this local delicacy is kept in wooden barrels for a minimum of 12 years of ageing. The visit includes sampling of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar. Enjoy your dinner, coupled with local red wine, in one of the most celebrated gastronomic regions of the world. Overnight stay.
Day 2
Breakfast. Get to Maranello, admittance to the official Ferrari museum then get behind the wheel to drive a stunning Ferrari! You will be provided with suggestions to fill your free time in Maranello area.
